The Aussie 3 metre hulls conform to the International 3 metre rules. The sail is different but can be modified to meet the rules. A windsurfer rig can also be used with some modification. The mast is freestanding which makes it quick to rig.
Boat was designed to be built in 4mm plywood and epoxy resin using tab and slot construction. All the pieces are cut using either full size paper templates or laser with the tabs marked on the panels. There are no measurements to loft the panels on this boat. You will need either full size paper templates or have the ply laser cut.

Aussie 3m built by Ray Kendrick

The boat is sailed single handed by sitting in the main hull. Steering is by a whip staff tiller or foot pedals. Fully assembled the boat fits on a box trailer or can be disassembled and carried on the roof of a car.
